Carey joined the LBC staff in July, 2005. Carey and her husband Kyle (Pastor of Young Families) have been attending LBC since 1995. She has a music degree from UNL and has taught music in public and private schools. She has given private voice and piano lessons for 25 years and has directed various choirs. She is actively involved in the Worship and Arts ministry and directs Consecrated (LBC Jr. High youth choir). Carey and Kyle are the parents of Brooke, Hannah, Ben and Alyssa.
