Discovery is your first step to investigating Lincoln Berean Church.  This core class allows you to explore our mission, values, ministry philosophies, structure, beliefs and serving opportunities. Our interactive, small-group format allows you to begin building relationships with others who attend LBC. You do not have to join LBC after taking this class, although attending 6 of the 8 Sunday classes or the entire one-day event (May 1) is required for membership. Please bring a Bible. 

 

Essential2Faith: Romans

Discover the truths of the new life, new nature and new freedom that are yours as a child of God as you study the essentials of our faith from Romans 1-8. Understand basic doctrine, more fully appreciate your salvation and gain assurance and confidence in what you believe.

 

Faith Search
Sundays, April 11 - May 16, 9:00 a.m., Chapel

Minimum: 3 students; Maximum: 12 students
Faith Search is a truth-seeking class that provides a safe environment to help you discover answers to the questions, observations and objections you may have about the Bible or Christianity through discussion and interaction. Students come from a variety of backgrounds, but all are looking for answers. We investigate what it means to have a relationship with Jesus Christ while we grow relationally with one another.

 

Genesis: Abraham and His God
Sundays, January 10 - May 30, 9:00 a.m., D-300
Instructor: Don Bowman
Other than Jesus Christ, Abraham – a giant of the Old Testament because of his faith – may be the most important person in the Bible. This study of Genesis 12-25 will not only explore the life of Abraham but also Abraham’s God. As we learn how God moved in Abraham’s life, we will see how we can grow in our faith, develop a closer personal relationship with Jesus, and have the confidence to tell others about Him. No class April 4. This multi-semester study will continue through the summer of 2011. You are welcome to join at any time. Recommended resource: By Faith We Live – Transcripts from Genesis 12 - 25, available at the Publications Center or to order at time of registration.
