CAN YOU DEFEND THAT?
Thursdays, March 18 – April 22, 6:45-9:00 p.m., C-204
Instructor: Mark Mathewson
This class considers both the biblical mandate to defend the Christian faith as well as the Christian’s responsibility to offer nonbelievers reasons why Christianity is true. The student will carefully examine a biblical model for defending Christianity found in Acts 17. The class will also explore some of the most serious challenges to Christianity. Information and strategies for answering those challenges will be covered. The primary goal of the course is to equip believers to give reasons for their Christian beliefs so nonbelievers can rationally consider the truth-claims of Christianity. A secondary goal is to encourage believers to understand that believing the truth-claims of Christianity is both rational and intellectually respectable. Tuition and book fees apply. Register at 483-6512 or .
