Looking for a Few Ready Writers
Artistic talent seems selective. Not everyone can sing a solo, dance ballet, preach a sermon or paint a portrait. But everyone has a story! Granted, it’s one thing to have a story-and something else entirely to write it.
David’s lines in Psalm 45:1 offer inspiration and fuel imagination:
“My heart overflows with a good theme… My tongue is the pen of a ready writer.” — NASB —
Ernest Hemingway understood the tragedy of putting off writing: “I knew I should write but I had let it go so long that it was almost impossible to write now.”
LBC School of the Arts is offering Write Now! instruction to any of the following:
- Those who love to write and wish to share their work
- Those who have an amazing personal story but need writing assistance
- Those desiring a writing and editing skills workshop
- Those preferring one-on-one editing help — including students
- Those interested in getting their writing published
A compelling and well-written story is an enduring testimony of lessons learned and life experienced. It can also be a gift to family and friends. In 2008, consider developing your writing talent or minister by sharing your story.
All are invited to a free informational meeting in D-105 on Monday, January 7, 7:00 p.m., or Tuesday, January 8, 2:00 p.m. Instructors for Write Now! are writing teachers and/or published authors. To pre-register, e-mail lbcwritenow@yahoo.com or stop by the Write Now! booth this weekend on the 2nd floor landing.
