300in3: Off Again

Recruiting, Training, Launching & Supporting

On July 13th the USA India Team left to establish five new training centers in five states in India. At these centers national pastors will be mentored, trained for leadership roles and given practical training to go out and plant churches all over India. The team will return July 25.

300in3 is the vision of the Berean Fellowship of Churches (USA) in partnership with Campus Crusade for Christ (India) for recruiting, training, launching and supporting 300 national pastors in different states across India. The goal is to see these 300 men enter training and begin the process of becoming Berean church-planting pastors within 3 years — thus 300in3.

During part of their schooling, the pastoral trainees are sent out to specific areas, teamed with experienced pastors, to learn more about sharing their faith. The following reports are from two of the trainees in the State of Jharkhand:

SATYANAND BAKHLA "First of all I give all thanks to our Lord that He kept me safe for a whole month and used me in His ministry and by His Grace. I did my practical ministry peacefully and shared the gospel among many people. This month I went to Pastor Anuj Tuti’s fields along with my group to share the gospel. There, I experienced that people are excited and hungry to listen to God’s word. On the 2nd of this month I visited a village and shared the gospel with the people. The people are so excited that they leave their work and come to listen about Jesus. On the 16th to 23rd, I ministered in another village where I shared the Gospel with 24 people, and of them only 5 people accepted Christ in their lives. All Glory and Honor to our Lord."

PASTOR ANUJ TIRKEY "At a nearby village I formed a football (soccer) team with 21 boys from the Munda and Lohra caste. They didn’t have a football earlier, but when I presented them with a football, they were very happy. I shared the gospel with the team captain. I am very happy that he listened to the gospel carefully and accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior. On 21st a friend came to my house for cutting wood. I shared the gospel with him and he accepted Jesus too. All his family members have agreed to follow Jesus Christ. This month I shared God’s word with four people and all of them received Christ faithfully and invited Jesus into their lives. I finished basic follow-up with four people and an active prayer group is running with five people. Three cell groups are also running continuously with 16 people. For all these blessings I give thanks to our Almighty God."
