A Triple Header for the Kids

We have tripled our fun and tripled our outreach for kids this summer.

In addition to our Vacation Bible School (VBS) program, July 23-27, we are inviting LBC families to host 5-Day Clubs, July 16-20, prior to VBS week. It is our desire that the 5-Day Clubs will serve as an opportunity to invite kids to VBS.

As a host family, you invite children from your neighborhood to your backyard or garage for five consecutive days, one hour each day, for Bible stories, singing and fun. Youth from LBC will plan and facilitate the program; you only need to invite the children and provide a simple snack. You can schedule your 5-Day Club in the morning, afternoon or evening-whatever works best for you. This is a great way to reach out to the children in your neighborhood. Kids love 5-Day Clubs...and they’ll love you for hosting it!

The second main event is our VBS Kick-off Party! Take the Plunge and invite your friends to join you on Saturday, July 21, 10:00-11:30 a.m. at Star City Shores, 4375 S. 33rd St. Ct. The pool will be open free of charge to Lincoln Berean attendees and their guests. Additional activities will be available on the grassy area around Star City Shores for those not swimming. Star City Shores will be providing lifeguard coverage and concessions. VBS registration will be available during this kick-off event.

Then we’ll really take the plunge when VBS begins the week of July 23, 9:15 a.m.-12:00 noon. All children are invited to attend who are ages 4 years (by July 27) through entering-6th graders this fall. Childcare and programs are available for infants — 3 years of age for people serving in VBS. The registration fee is only $10 for each child, with a $30 limit per family, which includes five days of cookies, crafts, games, singing, being with friends, and Bible stories that could change their lives for eternity! All visitors attend for free! (Limited scholarships are available, if necessary.)

All visitors and LBC attendees need to register beforehand so we can have their name tag and supplies ready when they arrive. Registration tables will be set up at the Ministry Spotlight booth on Level 100 during the weekends of July 7/8, 14/15 and 21/22. Early registration is appreciated. For your convenience, postcard invitations will be available to send or give to your friends.

The VBS closing program will be held Friday evening, July 27 at 7:00 p.m. in the new auditorium. All parents and guests can enjoy an opening program like the children enjoyed each day all week, followed by a time of refreshments.
