Men's Fraternity - The Quest
Men’s Fraternity is a three-year curriculum (24 weeks each year) developed by Robert Lewis (“Raising a Modern Day Knight”), at-large pastor of Fellowship Bible Church in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Robert has spoken and written effectively to men for years and developed Men’s Fraternity as a means to help men develop a biblical definition of manhood and move toward it. Thousands of men around the country are being transformed by God through Men’s Fraternity.
The first year’s journey is called “The Quest for Authentic Manhood” or “The Quest” for short. This 24-session study focuses on a man’s core identity and gives an overview of the basic manhood issues. It helps men face various identity concerns by looking at past challenges and wounds. It also explores in-depth, the concept of biblical masculinity. In this journey, men will learn how to clearly define manhood and will finally be able to give a succinct and passionate answer to the question “What is a man?”
LBC’s Men’s Fraternity will meet on Wednesday mornings from 6:10 to 7:30 a.m., beginning September 17.The first semester lasts 12 weeks with a break over the holidays and early January followed by the second 12 weeks. Each week there will be powerful teaching followed by small-group discussion over that day’s lesson. Each participant will have a study guide containing notes for the lessons and questions for the discussion time. Each week the doors will open at 5:45 a.m., the coffee will be ready along with breakfast snacks and we’ll have live news and sports on the big screen.
Men who are looking for deeper spiritual friendships will enjoy connecting with a small group of men around the themes covered in “The Quest”.
The cost for the full year (24 weeks) of “The Quest for Authentic Manhood” is $25 per man. Stop by the Men’s Fraternity booth on Level 100 this week, or any week in August, for more information and/or to register. We’re also urging men in LifeGroups to sign up together and receive a discounted group registration.
We couldn’t be more excited about offering Men’s Fraternity and “The Quest” to the men of LBC and our community. Friends, work associates or men from your neighborhood are welcome. This is a powerful new tool that we believe God will use in the years to come to raise up men of influence and character that will change the world. We’re looking forward to being on “The Quest” with you this fall.
