Solid to the Core

Have you ever had a really solid looking tree in your yard blow down in a storm, only to discover that it had major rot on the inside that made it susceptible to the wind?

This same principle applies in our spiritual lives. Until the core of our understanding of God and truth is solid, we are very susceptible to be taken down by the storms of life and to being tossed about by an array of both secular and religious ideas that are not biblical.

Our greatest desire is to see every person attending LBC thoroughly grounded in the truth, growing in intimacy with God and thinking through everything from a biblical framework. Because this is such a priority to us, we offer some outstanding learning opportunities so you can know what you believe and why. The following CORE classes are available to you to help grow and develop the roots and core of your life:

Faith Search— Saturdays, beginning September 6
Investigate what it means to have a relationship with Jesus Christ and discover answers to the questions you have about the Bible, Christianity and faith.

Discovery— Sundays, beginning September 7 or November 2
Explore the mission, values, structure and beliefs of Lincoln Berean Church while you also discover more about your personal faith journey.

Who is Jesus? A Study of John’s Gospel— Sundays, beginning September 7
Experience the “life” Jesus promises to those who believe and build a stronger foundation for your faith as we deepen our knowledge of Jesus as the Savior of the World.

Faith Essentials— Sundays, beginning September 28
Wherever you are in your faith journey, the book of Romans contains truths that are simply vital to your growth. Explore some of the bottomless depths and dizzying heights of the book that has so profoundly changed so many hearts and lives.

Foundations for Ministry— Wednesdays, beginning September 10
Build a strong foundation in God’s Word as you learn to study the Bible effectively and understand basic Bible doctrine.

We strongly urge you to get involved in one of these CORE classes if you have never done so before. The extra time invested in studying the Bible with a gifted and passionate teacher and other Christ-followers will change your life and help make you solid to the core.
