Meet Joel

A couple of years ago I had the opportunity to read the autobiography “Joel.” It is a remarkable story of courage, compassion and faith.

Joel, at age 22 months, was burned over 85% of his body, losing his hands, fingers, toes and all his facial features. But Joel has done much more than merely survive. He has triumphed through the power of Jesus Christ by telling his story around the world, bringing hope to the suffering and peace to the searching.

It is our privilege to have Joel with us here at LBC on February 2 and 3. He will speak in all three weekend services.

While we believe Joel will encourage and inspire those of us who attend LBC, we are also praying that the people of LBC will see this as a chance to invite a friend.We all know people around us who struggle through the “unfair” stuff of life. Joel’s message will encourage, inspire and challenge all who hear it.

This will be an opportunity for people to be confronted with the truths of the Gospel in a unique and compelling way. Don’t miss this opportunity for each one to reach one.
