Exploring Life After Death

I cannot tell you how many times I have asked people who were experiencing some difficulty in their life how they were doing...

and heard the following reply, “Well, better than the alternative.” I have been stunned by this response from men and women who know Christ but must not fully realize all that God has prepared for His children forever and ever in paradise.

This weekend we begin a six part series entitled “Life after Death”. We want to encourage you to join us each week for this important look into the future that awaits us when we die. In spite of the fact that death is the most certain thing each of us face, few people have a clear and biblical view of what happens after we die. We talk often of the brevity of life and the timelessness of eternity, and yet few have spent much time studying what the Bible actually tells us about eternity. What’s more, there is considerable fear which comes from many false ideas about life after death that keeps Christians from looking forward with joy to heaven. Others have diminished or ignored the real eternal destiny that awaits those who die without trusting in the finished work of Christ.

Our prayer is that this series will inform us biblically, give us hope and joy concerning the future, and inspire us to fully embrace the sufficiency of Christ and live out our calling for as long as God gives us here on earth.
