Imagine

"Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. " — EPHESIANS 3:20-21 —

Have you ever thought about this amazing truth; I mean really thought about it? God is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we could ask or think. Sure, we believe that He is a big God! But did you catch the next phrase and its clear implication? This amazing power that God has is at work “within us” and God is glorified “in the church”! In other words, God is working to accomplish His exceptionally great plan through us, His followers, His church.

Can you imagine what God could do in us and through us if we were fully in alignment with Him? Imagine people finding freedom from addictions and sins that have plagued them for years. Imagine friends and neighbors who have never known real joy, experiencing the transforming power of God’s grace in Christ! Imagine a city where the problems and challenges faced by the poor, the widow and the fatherless are no more, because God is at work through His people.

Imagine cities around the world where today there is no church or visible witness to the power of God, having a vibrant, growing community of Christ-followers with a heart to reach their city. Imagine that happening in cities around the world because God spoke and we obeyed the call to invest five years of our lives to plant a vibrant, life-changing church.

Imagine everyone in our church living an unleashed life for the glory of God. Imagine no one held back by the past, present circumstances, or fear, but everyone by faith stepping out of the boat, to join Jesus in His work of rescue, healing and transformation. Is there anything more important that you could give your time, talent and treasure to accomplish? Is there anything else that will have such an eternal impact? Is there anything that could possibly give more meaning and purpose to your life than this calling to join God in what He wants to do in our world, our city, your neighborhood, this year?
