New Connecting Points For Young Adults
The Young Adults Season of Life at Lincoln Berean is geared toward single, non-college students ages 20 to 34 and consists of individuals from varied backgrounds and distinct life situations who are united by their common pursuit of God and their desire to grow towards completeness in Christ.
In addition to our Young Adults LifeGroups, Lincoln Berean is excited to offer Tuesday and Thursday evening gatherings. For more information about these two new connecting points, please stop by the Adult Shepherding Ministries booth or contact Ryan Harmon at rharmon@lincolnberean.org or Dee Ann Roberts at droberts@lincolnberean.org.
Ryan Harmon, Young Adults Lay Leader, will be coaching the Young Adults Season of Life and will be leading the Thursday night gatherings. Ryan has recently moved to Lincoln after spending the past eight years in Wheaton, IL. He graduated with a B.A. in Communications from Wheaton College in 2001 and continued his education at Wheaton Graduate School, graduating in 2005 with a M.A. in Theological Studies. During his last two years of graduate school, he engaged with Wheaton’s undergraduates serving as an Assistant Resident Director. Ryan has also spent the past six summers serving as Program Director at Rivercrest Camp in Fremont, NE. Currently, Ryan works for Scooter’s Coffeehouse in the Haymarket.
We believe that God is alive and at work in the lives of His people and His goal is that they would be transformed into the likeness of His Son, Jesus, in both their values and character. We also believe that God is faithful to complete the work in our lives that He begins. Because of this, we find comfort knowing that no matter where we are or where we have been in life, God accepts us and has a purpose for us.
In the Young Adults ministry we are committed to leading whole and balanced lives that are pleasing to God and are set on growth through His Spirit. We value authentic community where people are both accepted as they are and are encouraged to become more like Christ. Come as you are as we “do life together.”
