The Star of Bethlehem
Friday, December 1 at 6:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall

Let the celebration begin!  Christmas is fast approaching and the Women of Worth team has begun to party already!  Come join the fun and celebrate the season of our Savior’s birth Friday, December 1 at 6:00 p.m.  You will be greeted with beautiful piano music played by talented musicians throughout the evening.  A light supper, enjoyable conversation and a carol or two will set the mood to make fabulous gifts for those appreciated people on your Christmas list. The evening will conclude with a ‘visit’ from a very special woman from the Bible who will remind us that as Women of Worth, we “Worship and Reverence the Lord.”  So plan to join us for sweet treats, sweet fellowship and sweet reminders of THE reason for the season - our Lord and Savior.  Tickets are $8.00 each and will be available the weekends of November 18/19 and 25/26 at the Women’s Ministries booth or at the LBC office until November 28.

Ali Moghadam will be sharing his story of giving his heart to Jesus.  Ali was born into a highly educated family in Tehran, Iran.  His father was a professor who knew seven different languages.  He was also a scholar, writer, translator, poet, musician and painter; a renaissance man and a philanthropist, but unfortunately, an atheist.  His mother was a teacher.  Her father and grandfather were both medical doctors who were educated in Belgium.  She was Egyptian and Muslim.  Ali passed the national exam and became fifth among 300,000 students who wanted to enter the University of Tehran.  Ali also became the candidate for the National team of Iran for Olympic-style weight lifting; his record was ninth in the World in 1975.  Ali was also like his father, an atheist but a compassionate man and more!  Come and be encouraged by Ali and his story.
