In between my obsessions like fishing, blacksmithing, welding, horseback riding and hanging out with my family I can be seen preaching at Lincoln Berean. I probably don't fit the stereotype most people have of 'clergy' but I do have a passion to present God's truth in such a way that people will find it helpful in everyday life. I also marvel that God would grant me the privilege of leading such a remarkable community of believers. I love this place.
I love spending time with my wife and three kids, traveling, basketball, college football, and the clarity I get from biking a high mountain trail. I have a passion to see younger generation leaders pursue God, live with balance, invest deeply in others and take the steps they need to take today so they can finish well tomorrow. Because I have known Lincoln Berean to be a place that consistently challenges us to take the next steps in our faith, and a place where the message of grace is lived and modeled so well, it is a real privilege to serve here in the areas of youth, college and next generation leaders.
I love history, traveling with my wife Donna to historic and scenic places, snow skiing with my kids and friends, playing football with my family in the backyard, spending time with my granddaughter, and talking with God while running in the evenings. What an awesome journey we have been on together the past 13 years that we have been a part of Lincoln Berean (10 years on staff). I love watching God work in people's lives. My passion is to see everybody live purposefully every day, using all that God has given them to make a difference for eternity.
I am amazed that I get to know and even be used by God and see my journey as a lifelong adventure of watching God transform a pile of junk into a trophy of His grace! I am also amazed that I am married to Cynci, get to be the dad of Josh, Caleb, David, and Danny, and to help lead Lincoln Berean generally as part of the Directional Team and specifically by working with our Administrative Ministries and Global Outreach. I'm also a little nuts as 30,000 feet (in a plane) is one of my favorite places on earth.
