Grandparenthood – More than Rocking Chairs

Sundays, June 18 - August 13, 10:45AM - 12:00PM

Whether you were as effective as you wanted to be as a parent or not, grandparenthood offers us all a chance to once again help groom a generation for greatness. It's not often that we get such a significant second chance. We will be using a DVD series and book by Dr. Tim and Darcy Kimmel, founders and directors of Family Matters, a non-profit ministry whose goal is to build strong families for every age and stage of life.

Location: D 103. Cost: $10/person.

Registration is required.

Habitat for Humanity

Building begins April 2017

Lincoln Berean's Staying Alive Ministry is excited to partner with Habitat for Humanity of Lincoln to build a home for a family in need. Building begins in April 2017 and here are a few ways you can help out:

Support the build financially. We need to raise $90,000 to cover the cost of building materials and moving the home to its permanent lot. You can donate by going to
lincolnberean.onlinegiving.cc/donate/login or by placing a check in the offering with "Habitat" in the memo line.

Donate your time and talent. We need people to do construction work and paint the house. Building will take place on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Training will be provided, but all construction laborers must be at least 16 years of age.

Provide meals for the construction laborers. Join a team to make sack lunches for the construction laborers each build day.

To sign up, contact Beth at bgriess@lincolnberean.org or 402-483-6512.

Staying Alive (50+) Spring Event

Friday, May 19, 7:00PM

Ben Greenfield will share his remarkable story of courage and faith in the midst of very difficult circumstances. There is not a day that passes that Ben takes for granted, and as a result of his story, our prayer is that we would live on mission as much as he does.

Tickets available at each of the Information Centers. Tickets are free on a first come, first serve basis.

Location: Youth Complex.

We call our ministry Staying Alive because that's the mission. Life is too precious to just float along day after day with no real purpose. We need to keep stepping out by faith. We need to try new things. Another value of the Staying Alive Ministry is to take others with you. What is God leading you to that you've become passionate about, and who might God have come with you? This is your season, go for it, for God's glory.
