Develop a practical view of God’s blueprint for your marriage and apply biblical concepts to help face life’s marital challenges. Newly married and engaged couples will build a strong foundation for a lifelong relationship and seasoned couples can make relational adjustments. Class includes small-group discussion and personal application.


Parenting 101 – Parents of Infants and Preschoolers

Cost: $35 book fee/family
This class is designed for new and soon-to-be parents to establish a firm foundation for a lifetime of parenting. Learn how to create an environment to grow your child into a spiritual champion, become acquainted with the physical, spiritual and emotional development needs of your child and his/her “wiring” and learn different ways to effectively discipline your child. Starting Your Story – A Premarital Class for Young Couples
Sundays, January 17 - March 7, 10:45 a.m., D-103
Instructors: Pastor Kyle Helmink and guest presenters
Cost: $44 book and assessment fee/couple
Maximum: 32 couples
A class for engaged couples and couples considering engagement, this course covers topics such as family of origin, finances, spirituality, conflict resolution and personality differences and helps you build a foundation for a strong marital relationship. Completion of this course is required in order to be married by an LBC pastor or to be married at LBC. Couples who are starting a second marriage that involves children/stepchildren and face the challenge of blending families are encouraged to register for the Built To Last premarital class (call for schedule). Attending a class 6 months prior to your wedding is strongly recommended.

Couple's Intimacy Conference

Guest Speaker: Dr. Doug Weiss
Cost: $25/couple
Couples attending this conference will be given the tools needed for an abundant marriage. Dr. Doug Weiss, a respected licensed psychologist, author and speaker, will walk couples through the three levels of intimacy: spiritual, emotional and physical – so that marriages can remain strong and resistant to divorce which is plaguing America today. Participants will receive a Certificate of Completion of Conference.
