Unpacking, inventorying, and stocking donated items.
If your group is unable to join the scheduled service days, it is possible to set up service projects on other days and times by using the contact information below.
The Foster CARE Closet is a place for families or group homes working with children that are wards of the State to come and get items to help meet needs of those children. The closet is mostly clothing items that have been donated through various sources, such as church family members, garage sale left overs and consignment sale left overs.
We are in need of small groups that would be willing to help serve in the closet until we have things out of boxes and all items inventoried and placed on the racks in their proper places.
We have probably a hundred boxes of clothes and misc. items that need to be taken out of the boxes, inventoried and then placed in an organized manner in the closet. This is not a difficult task and youth are welcome to use it as a project to gain service hours for school. However, it is time consuming!
Dates and Times of project: The closet is open by appointment only, so we are very flexible in working around the schedule of a group that is willing to come in. A group may spend 2 hours or 8 hours. There is no time limit or constraints. ALL HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!
