LifeGroups
Everybody has a need for community. It is part of God's plan of presenting everybody complete in Christ.
How can a leaf survive without its branch? How can a branch survive without its trunk? Just as we are to be connected to Christ, we also branch out into smaller groups that help us grow individually, but also so we can help the church grow.
What is a LifeGroup?
A LifeGroup is a small group of people, usually in a similar season of life, who meet regularly to apply Biblical truth to real life, to love, serve and pray for one another, and to reach out and share the love of Jesus with others.
They are the primary place of connection, care and discipleship at LBC. Each group is led by trained and mature leaders who guide the group in ministry to one another in order to present every person complete in Christ.
Time and Location
Several LifeGroups exist at LBC that meet any day or night of the week. As a result, you could choose a group according to the time and location that works best for your family.
Groups meet two to four times a month for study, prayer and encouragement; however, we strongly encourage groups to do life together beyond the group meeting, further developing the friendships and ministry that happens within the group.
Study Topics
Each group leader works with a LifeGroup coach and consults with the group to determine the course of study for the group. The study is typically based on the needs of the group and focus for the year, or many groups discuss the study questions developed for the weekend sermons.
The primary focus of the study time within your LifeGroup is the application of Biblical truth to real life. Most people know far more than what they put into practice. But it is important to obey the truth by thinking and living it in our daily lives. This ministry of application also directs the times of prayer and encouragement in each LifeGroup.
