Counseling Resource Ministries

Studies indicate that 40 to 60 percent of the effectiveness of professional counseling is dependent upon the relationship between the client and the counselor. The success of lay-led groups also lends credibility to the findings of those studies.

At LBC we have a number of groups for healing and growth facilitated by highly experienced lay leaders. We are excited about the recent development of a group for women desiring to break free from alcohol and chemical dependency issues.

None of us feel competent to address every situation we face when we are ministering to other people. At the same time, knowing some basic principles about counseling, communication and boundaries can help structure our thinking and actions in a way that helps us feel more comfortable as we walk with people through the challenges they face.

Through the biblically based and Christ-centered program, children are encouraged to develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Each session is a combination of video dramas, discussion, workbook/journaling and hands-on activities that allow children to process the information and interact with adult leadership. DC4K gives your children a safe and neutral place to recognize and learn how to share their feelings. Contact Sherri at 770-4816 with questions.
