Children's Ministries

Adventureland for Kids
Director Supervises all Adventureland for Kids staff. Provides organization, oversight, dÈcor and atmosphere for booth. Responsible for information and publicity, i.e., brochures, pictures, videos and information packets. Works with the Pastor of Children s Ministries. Serve
Department Leader for Booth(s) Supervises individual booths, including staffing and scheduling, as well as workers (attendants and runners). Works with the Director. Serve
Department Leader for Registration (future) Oversees the booth specifically for registration and security for Children s Ministries. Works with the Director. Serve
Worker (Booth Attendant) Works in the Ranger booth giving information and direction to children and parents. Serve
Worker (Runner) Works from the Ranger booth and is available to escort visitors and their parents to the proper classrooms and take messages from departments during services. Serve
Special Education
Department Leader Supervises all staff and programming in the Special Education Ministry. Serve
Hour Leader Implements programs organized by the Director. Serve
Table Leader Helps teachers in working with the children. These can be peer models as well as adults. Serve
Buddy System Leader Organizes and implements the Buddy System program. (This is a program where there is a one-on-one person with a child that has special needs who is in regular classes.) Serve
Buddy A person who is one-on-one with a child who has special needs in the classroom. (There is no class preparation.) Serve
Nursery/Walker Department
Department Coordinator General administration and organization of Nursery/Walker Department. Serve
Department Leader Assists the Coordinator with respective responsibilities. Serve
Story Teacher Teaches Bible-based lessons around tables using songs, interactive objects, and activity. Serve
Health Care Coordinator Oversees health care policies and schedules health care workers. Serve
Health Care Worker Assists in checking-in infants and addressing any health concerns. Serve
Hour Leader Responsible to oversee nursery/walker room and greet/assist parents. Serve
Worker Caring for infants by rocking, feeding, cleaning, and holding. Serve
Laundry Worker Responsible to wash sheets, blankets, and toys. Serve
Preschool Department (2-year-olds through kindergarten)
Department Coordinator Directs the administration and organization of department, including recruitment and training of workers. Serve
Hour Leader Plan and organize the specific hour for care and teaching. Serve
Table Leader Works with the children during play time, story time, and crafts. Serve
Story Teacher Teaches the Bible story to the children. Serve
Song Leader Organizes and leads the children in a short song time. Serve
Musical Accompaniment Assist the song leader in leading worship by playing accompaniment during singing. Serve
Visual Arts/Room Enhancement Assist with bulletin boards,visual aids and other room dÈcor to enhance the teaching experience. Serve
Materials Coordinator Copies, gathers materials and supplies room with special needs each week. Serve
Elementary Grades 1-3
Hour Leader Works with the Ministry Director to plan and organize a total program for the department and provides support to the ministry team each Sunday during one of the services (hours). Serve
Room Leader Leads four table groups in room activities with provided curriculum including:
Teaching one or two times per month (approx. 15 minutes)
Designing and implementing decorations for the room (with input from table leaders and others)
Functioning as a table leader when a table leader is missing and a substitute was not available
When outside supplies are needed for a lesson, coordinating that with the table leaders 		Serve

Elementary Grades 4-5

Director Responsible for planning and organizing the total VBS program. Serve
VBS Directional Team Members responsible for specific areas involved with the total VBS program. Serve
Department Leader Responsible for planning and organizing the activities, schedule, workers and decorations for a specified age group or activity group, i.e., music, recreation, crafts, decorations, snacks or closing event. Serve
Bible Teacher Prepares and teaches the daily Bible lesson. Serve
Table Leader Leading small groups of children to learn the point of the lesson through every activity of the day. Serve
Worker Assist Department Leader and Table Leader in all areas. Serve
Wednesday Night - All Stars 1-2nd grades
Club Leader Plans and organizes the program. Serve
Assistant Leader Assists the leader. Serve
Secretary Works with the club leaders in ordering materials and keeping records. Serve
Lesson Teacher Prepares and tells the weekly story. Serve
Table Leader Oversees a table of 5-8 children, assisting in handbook, verses, and playtime. Serve
Worship Leader Selects and leads the group in singing. Serve
Game Leader Leads the children in 5-15 minutes of simple stretches and movements. Serve
Craft Coordinator Organizes and prepares the craft/handwork for children. Serve
Wednesday Night - AWANA Discoverers 3-4th grades Challengers 5-6th grades
Commander Responsible for the administration of the program, and recruitment and training of club directors. Serve
Assistant Commander Shares duties with the Commander. Serve
General Secretary Works with the commander and Club Secretaries in ordering materials and keeping records. Serve
Club Director Leads an age-graded club; plans and organizes the program, recruits, trains and shepherds the helpers. Serve
Worship Leader Leads children in worship. Serve
Speaker Brings a Bible lesson to AWANA children. Serve
Club Secretary Keeps weekly records of clubbers work and material; submits orders for awards to General Secretary. Serve
Game Leader Plans and organizes weekly AWANA games. Serve
Small Group Leader Assists each clubber in their group with handbooks, council, and game time (3 half-hour segments). Serve
Verse Listeners Assists in listening to individual verses. Serve

Childcare Department Leader Works directly with the Child Care Director. Plans and organizes total program for the specific department; provides leadership in recruiting, organizing and scheduling of childcare workers. Serve
Childcare Workers Childcare workers for various church activities and programs; works under the supervision of the Department Leader. Serve
Junior Camp Maranatha Bible Camp
Camp Facilitator Plans, organizes, and recruits program staff serves as liaisons between staff, camp staff and campers. Oversees recruitment of cabin leaders. Serve
Medical Team Leader Organizes and administers all medical needs of campers, including prescribed drugs. Serve
Missionaries Present the missions message in coordination with camp theme. Serve
Music Leader Lead the worship and music in coordination with the camp theme, and be responsible for the sound system. Serve
Program Coordinator Responsible for coordination of music, theme, speaker, and skits, as well as the sound, lighting, and environment chapel. Serve
Cabin Leader Leads a small group of campers to know God and grow deeper in Him. Serve
Skills Leader Organize campers in the skill areas offered by the camp. Serve
Speaker Presenting the Bible message to the campers during the worship sessions, in coordination with the theme. Serve
Resource Room
Resource Room Volunteer Supply the necessary equipment and/or supplies that are needed and available when requested. Serve
Equipment Manager Maintain media equipment. Serve
VBS Crafts Help with VBS preparation and clean-up. Serve
Resource/Storage Maintenance Weekly organizing the Resource Room and keeping the storage rooms organized and clean. Serve
Sign Designer Create signs for various ministries Serve
Bulletin Board Decorate bulletin boards through the building. Serve
Purchasing Assists with the purchasing of various supplies, as needed. Serve
