Missions

Resource Team Financial and stewardship expertise in raising, maintaining, and monitoring the funds needed to effectively send laborers. Volunteer
Education Team Educate and raise awareness on the importance of missions and/or serving on a team coordinating the Missions Conference. Volunteer
Education Coordinator Educate people from preschool to adults on an area of the world where we have missionaries, highlighting some of that information on the country and region; then educating us on what our missionaries themselves do in that region and how they do it. This can be done individually or as a team. Volunteer
Initiatives Team Assist in implementing strategies for various LBC-generated missions endeavors, i.e., Tai Dam people, planting churches in India, or training and sending short-term teams. Volunteer
Action Team Help others to encourage and serve our missionaries by being a resource in areas such as communication, hospitality, prayer, encouragement, or cultural adaptation. Volunteer
Preparation Team Helping to prepare and shepherd our future missionaries by modeling, mentoring, training, coaching, and encouraging. Volunteer
Mobilization Team Being part of a team that recruits and enlists more people to join in adopting a mission field or serving on one of these LBC missions ministry teams. Volunteer
Periodic Missions Hospitality Be willing to be listed as a possible resource for providing occasional meals, short-term housing, or being a host/hostess for special meetings. Volunteer
Periodic Missions Professional Care Be willing to be listed as a possible resource for providing occasional discounted or donated professional services for missionaries who are on furlough here in Lincoln. Please list the specific services(s) and discounts/donations you would be willing to provide. Volunteer
Furlough Coordinator Assist in finding resources for a missionary family coming home on furlough, e.g., furniture needs if the missionary rents an unfurnished house and gathering small children s items (highchairs, strollers, etc.). This could be done as an individual effort, or as a leader in recruiting others to be a part of a team to meet these needs. Volunteer

Jail and Prison Ministry

Good News Jail and Prison Ministry--for Women Women who volunteer to develop their own curriculum and provide Bible study sessions for small groups of inmate or individualized biblical support, on a scheduled and structured basis. It is a safe opportunity to share the Gospel and biblical teachings to inmates of the same gender, who volunteer for and enjoy the group studies or the one-on-one meetings. Volunteer
Nebraska State Prison - Diagnostic & Evaluation Center Volunteers conduct Sunday morning services for one hour (8-9:00 a.m.), two times a month (2nd & 4th Sunday). A one-time orientation is required. Volunteer
