Women's Ministries
Helping you “get connected” on this journey of faith is the desire of the Women’s Ministries Directional Team.

Director of Women’s Ministries
We seek to embrace the mission and vision of LBC as it is our prayerful desire to assist “every woman in becoming complete in Christ.” In order to accomplish this, we offer a variety of opportunities for women of all ages and life circumstances to grow and flourish in:
- knowing who God is
- connecting with other women
- finding a safe place for healing life’s hurts
- improving physical health
- serving together in our church and community
How do you begin to talk about and describe the diversity of Women’s Ministries? Women are busy at home, with their families, and at their work sites; and that is certainly true of the women of LBC. Considering all of this, it’s exciting when multiple teams of faithful, intergenerational women come together with a commitment to serve in unity, with one voice, to glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. (ROMANS 15:5-6)
To encourage a deeper understanding of the scriptures, we offer nine diverse biblical studies for women through Titus Women on Tuesday mornings or Titus@Night on Tuesday evenings. There is something for everyone! Each Tuesday over 350 women reflect on who God is through worship, study of scripture and prayer. Women come to connect with God and others as they become friends for the journey. We provide Titus Kids Preschool for over 150 children each Tuesday morning. Also, new this fall is a 4-week Bible study on Sunday mornings entitled the Sisterhood Hour — A Proverbs Study for Women.
Physical health is another component of a woman’s life. Fitness Plus exercise classes encourage women of all fitness levels to shape their bodies and souls. Early bird and mid-morning classes are offered throughout the week to meet the needs of women working in and out of the home. First Place Bible Study takes a Biblical approach to weight management, healthy eating and exercise.
Mentioned earlier was the need for safe places to heal the deep wounds of a woman’s heart. The following support groups are beginning soon for women who have experienced significant pain:
- Her Choice to Heal — for women afflicted with the guilt and shame of abortion
- A Woman’s Secret Struggle — Overcoming alcohol, drug and food addictions (ie: eating disorders)
- Beyond Love — provides a caring environment to heal from the pain caused by a loved one’s hurtful behaviors (pornography use, adultery, emotional abandonment)
We also provide a resource to women through mentoring relationships. A mentor is a woman who draws from her own relationship with Jesus Christ, life experiences, gifts and abilities. A mentor is still growing, yet she is willing to give out of what she has gained in life to help another woman along the way. Mentor relationships can be one-on-one or a small group.
If you are looking for avenues designed specifically for women to meet new friends, consider attending Women of Worth. WOW is designed for women to connect, build relationships and learn new skills (card making, baking, holiday gift ideas, organization, etc.) while enjoying a meal together. Quilters, for the novice or expert, enjoy learning and/or improving their “stitch” while developing friendships.
Did you know Women’s Ministries is also a resource ministry to the entire church? This past year we served over 40 families through coordinating and serving at weddings, receptions and by providing food for funeral luncheons. This past year we served 5,500 people through these events. The highly-used LBC kitchen is kept in shape by a team of eleven women. We facilitate the monthly LBC Clothing Exchange and all church Prayer Chain. We also help with the annual donation drives of the Crisis Pregnancy Center and City Impact “Gifts of Love” stores. Many women serve directly in these ministries. New this fall is the development of our Crisis Ministry Team, which assists LBC families in crisis by providing meals, short-term childcare, help with household chores and transportation. Leadership training is provided during the year for all women in ministry here at LBC.
Our theme this year for the Service Expo is Women’s Ministries: be an offering and a sacrifice to God as a fragrant aroma (EPHESIANS 5:2). If you are new to LBC or have not experienced the benefit of Women’s Ministries, and/or would like to join one of our ministries in service, please contact me. Our team would love to help you get connected! We hope you’ll join us on this journey of faith!
Please take a moment to read Aletha’s story. Her life transformation is a great example of one woman becoming more complete in Christ, which is the ultimate goal of Women’s Ministries.
