Every day we get up and engage in work. It may be in our home, at a school, in a store or shop, or in an office or factory. It might be outside at a construction site, on a farm, driving a truck or bus, or delivering mail. It may involve managing people and it most likely involves being managed by someone.
We desire to make a difference at work. The truth is, work is a gift from God. When we work in partnership with God, our work pleases Him. God has uniquely designed and strategically placed us in our role as a teacher, mother, or janitor, at a corporation or in a factory, to represent Him. Our work matters to God.
The problem is, at times our WorkLife doesn’t seem that simple. We struggle with how to balance our work with family and how to handle conflict and relationships. We think about how to relate to God through work and how to present the Gospel.
Join us as we explore the world of work from a biblical perspective over six weeks. In addition to studying the scriptures together to understand God’s vision for our WorkLife, we’ll also be helping you assess your own WorkLife and connecting you to people and resources that can help you thrive as a Christ-follower in your WorkLife.
Together let’s discover and embrace God’s greater purpose for our work.
