THEREFORE GO AND MAKE DISCIPLES OF ALL NATIONS. . .
Letter from The Missions Pastor
We at Lincoln Berean have clearly understood that God's calling for us has never been only local; it is truly global. Today we pursue an urgent mission to make Christ known to those who are still without God and without hope. We continually seek to make Christ known--through intentional missions ministries--in strategic locations all over the globe.
We hope to stir in each of us a greater sense of hunger for the fulfillment of Christ's Great Commission--to make disciples of all nations. But how do we do this?
One way is by prayerful involvement in our missionaries' lives. We seek every LifeGroup within our church to adopt a mission field somewhere in the world and to continually hold them up in prayer and in communication. We also promote short-term missions trips in partnership with our missionaries around the world.
Another way is our ongoing involvement in planting Berean churches in India. Within the Berean Fellowship of Churches, we have a goal of 300 church planters in three years!
We seek to promote missions throughout the year. Each Fall, Lincoln Berean has a two-week Missions Conference to highlight our part in missions, whether it is going, giving, praying, serving or sending.
If you would like to learn more about missions, please contact me through the Missions Administrative Assistant, Janette Little in the church office, 483-6512, for more information.
Yours for His glory,
Jeff Petersen
Directional/Missions Pastor
Our Vision
Missions Conference. Twice a year, usually the first and second weekends in November.
Training. We have begun our Missionary Preparation Program which is designed to help people determine whether God wants them involved in missions, and if so, many practical training steps to be ready for missions work.
