Our Goal

We are trusting in God to use us to launch 100 of the church-planting pastors during this three year period, which began summer 2003.

Support Units:
A "support unit" is an individual, a family, a small group, a business or any configuration of people who will commit to giving prayer support to help under gird this ongoing effort and $100 a month for a total of six years. These contributions will provide the funding needed to recruit, train and launch one church-planting pastor. Funding covers one year of training and five years of on-going support while a new church plant is established.

As the largest Berean church, we believe God will have us play a large part in 300in3. Approximately one-third of people in the Berean Fellowship actually attend LBC. So it makes sense that we should support one-third of the project, ultimately one-third of the pastors.

As 300in3 has a three-year timeline for recruiting and enlisting, which began in July 2004, we expect the 300th trainee to enter training in July 2006. Our commitment to 300in3 is for 100 pastors to have guaranteed support by that time, which will continue for a total of six years at $100 a month, ending in June 2012. We intend to continue raising support to coincide with the induction of each pastor and for a total of six years. In other words, not all support will be raised at once but over time, but will amount to $7,200 for each pastor.

We encourage LifeGroups as a support unit to fund, pray for and adopt a pastor in India. However, we would like to various support units all across the body to see 100 pastors launched from our support. Giving units could be families, individuals, businesses or any combination of people.

Money for the building project is distinct from 300in3. As you make your contribution, you may choose to designate your money to the separate funding needs. As we look to God to help us give to His work sacrificially, we see this as a great opportunity to give above and beyond tithing, as well as the building project in order to keep us globally minded as well as locally minded.

As a large church, we are humbled by the great sacrifices made by other churches in the Fellowship. For the past three years, the Berean church in Torrington, Wyo., has sent its pastor to India for five weeks every fall. This is a tremendous sacrifice for a local church, particularly with only one pastor. Their understanding of Kingdom impact gives them great joy by sending their pastor to India. This is a reminder that we ought to sacrificially give, not only of our treasure, but other valuable resources as well, rather than give out of our surplus.
