How to Participate
Keeping in mind that our goal is to equip Indians to reach their own country, we have a limited role in the direct ministry.
Our role is strategic as people in Berean churches see opportunities to get involved through prayer and encouragement, financial contributions, and a willingness to release American pastors to go to India so they could help train the pastors and provide administrative assistance.
As people indirectly support the ministry this way, it helps us all together to launch and equip church-planting pastors, who in turn will reach the people in their land.
We ask all support units to consider how much support they would be willing to offer. We believe the Lord has chosen to provide through His people and let them take part in the blessing of planting a church to make disciples and ultimately reach the world.
Prayer
Prayer is undeniably the greatest way to participate in 300in3. India is a spiritually dark place. To learn more about India's spiritual darkness, visit 300in3.org. We would like our support units to pray for pastors, leaders and believers, for their protection and opportunities for the Gospel to go forward to the lost so that churches could be established.
Recently, one of our pastors was beat and stabbed, which forced him to quit his ministry. This is the first time a Berean pastor faced this type of personal persecution. They are standing unimaginably in the face of opposition we could hardly understand. But even so, any time we talk to them they ask for one thing, "Please pray for us."
Financial Contributions
Although prayer is critical, we know nothing will happen without financial support. In faith, we believe God will provide all the necessary funds through sacrificial giving from His people. Because of this, a gift of any amount is greatly appreciated and welcomed at any time. Supporting one church planter through the entire process from training to planting is a 6-year commitment of $100 a month, amounting to $7,200. To be able to train, send and support 100 pastors as our part in the ministry, we believe our body will give a total of $720,000 over the course of this campaign.
Resourcing
We are also committed to India through the allocation of leaders and resources. So far, multiple pastors, staff and lay people from LBC have been involved in helping lead 300in3, including trips to India to serve the ministry there, but also to bring back resources to the U.S. to serve the ministry here. LBC has been able to support the ministry through pastoral training, administrative direction, technical support and mass communication through the time and talent from within our body.
