Our Part

Often when a church gets involved in a major building project, it tends to get narrow in focus, dealing only with a local emphasis.

However, we believe God's design for expanding our vision is greater than that. In order to present every person complete in Christ, we must be reaching out to the uttermost parts of the world.

God has given us the opportunity to be a part of planting hundreds of Berean churches in India. As part of the Berean Fellowship, we will help train 300 pastors in a period of three years, whom we will launch into a church plant and support for a total of six years. This project is called 300in3.

This is an extraordinary way to reach people in a distant land, as it equips people to carry out a ministry in their native country, which has more sustaining and permanent effect than that of missions. Our part is to provide resources and support, rather than a direct ministry. This is accomplished through prayer, financial support and even sending people from our own body to India to help the ministry.

The India project is an aggressive step of faith as we look forward to building our local body while keeping a global perspective. One might think at times that we cannot take on any more than the local project; that project alone is a major stretch.

But we are just as committed to reaching and discipling the people of the uttermost parts of the world, not just our local Lincoln residents. Our mission is guided by Acts 1:8 when Jesus said, "you will shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth."

We are very excited for the people of Lincoln Berean who love the Lord, and are committed to His vision, and most especially are looking forward to seeing it through. Even to this point, we have already seen a strong sense of commitment. There is no question this has resonated deep in the hearts of many.

The notion of having an opportunity to train and send 300 pastors in a short period of three years, in a strong movement across the most spiritually needy country in the world, is undeniably compelling.
