Building Plans

Building Plans

We believe God is calling us to build a 2,500-seat auditorium with a balcony that will seat another 1,000 people. Additionally, this phase will include the construction of a youth complex to accommodate our growing youth ministry.

(Phase E)

The 2,500 seating will be in the first phase of the auditorium and the 1,000 seat balcony will be added at a later time. Thus, the auditorium will eventually seat 3,500 people. With a two-service philosophy of ministry, this new auditorium should allow us to aggressively fulfill our purpose well into the future. If each seat represents a life that will be eternally changed through Christ, imagine what God may desire to do through us at LBC in the years ahead.  One can only imagine the potential for significant impact in our community and around the world.

The Main Level of the auditorium will attach to our current main level in "D" wing. In addition to new outside entrances, this level allows people to walk through "D" wing eastward past the current kitchen, fellowship hall and office reception area into the main level of the new auditorium. This level will come into the back rows of the stadium seating that will lead downward to the lower level seating area located on the ground level equal with the parking lot. This lower area will be the level for the stage, backstage and surrounding worship support areas. The stage will be on the east end of the auditorium. The upper "D" level (currently the upper room) will be on the same level as the future 1,000 seat balcony entrance. Much of the entire east side of our current "D" wing will be opened up to merge into the adjoining new three-story auditorium.

Youth Complex

The Youth Complex will be completed in the fall of 2004. It will be a 22,000 square foot detached facility to accommodate a growing youth ministry. Temporarily, the college worship hour will meet in the Youth Complex, freeing up the upper room for an 11 a.m. simulcast.  This will allow us the ability to continue to accommodate growth temporarily while the auditorium is under construction. Not only is this Youth Complex necessary as a temporary solution for continued growth while the auditorium is being built, it will also be critical for providing necessary educational space once the new auditorium is completed. When the congregation moves into the new auditorium, the college worship hour will move into the current auditorium and the youth will move into the youth complex, opening up much needed educational space in the lower "C" building for children.
