God has blessed our church with a team of gifted and experienced business persons who diligently serve as a business advisory team to our Board and our office. Here is a brief background about each one.

Kirk Hovendick (Chairman)
CPA employed with KPMG, LLP as Tax Managing Director. Graduate of UNL with a degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in accounting. Has attended LBC for 14 years. Also serves in the area of LifeGroup leadership for the Young Families season of life.

Kevin Deaver
Senior Vice-President and Certified Financial Planner at Cornhusker Bank. Graduate of UNK and Graduate School of Banking. Has attended LBC for 6 years. Also serves as a Crown Ministries instructor; LifeGroup leadership.

Billy Friesen
CPA employed with Watts & Hershberger PC CPA specializing in income taxes. Graduate of UNK with a degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in accounting. Has attended LBC for 15 years. Also serves as an usher.

Mark Geist
Financial Advisor employed with Morgan Stanley. Gradate of UNL with a degree in Business Administration. Has attended LBC for 16 years. Also serves with the Stewardship Team in areas of education and financial counseling.

Jack Irons
Founder and Managing Partner of The Negotiators, LLC—specializing in commercial real estate developments; world-wide lead negotiator for private companies. Graduate of UNL with a degree in Business and English. Has attended LBC for 7 years. Also involved in LifeGroup ministries.

Doug Peterson
Attorney with the law firm of Keating, O’Gara, Davis & Nedved, trial practice areas of employment law, personal injury and commercial litigation. Graduate of UNL with a degree in Business Administration, and graduate of Pepperdine University with a law degree. Has attended LBC for 17 years.

Bob Wekesser
Senior Consultant of The Negotiators, LLC; Founder and Managing Partner of Wekesser & Associates. Graduate of Colorado State University with a degree in Finance. Has attended LBC for 12 years. Also serves as a consultant for Connections Class.
