Many preparations will be made for a solid foundation of leadership and direction before the first service targeted for the first Sunday after Labor Day 2005.
The church will essentially be a replica of the character of Lincoln Berean in both ministry structure and vision. The difference will be in how that is specifically executed according to the unique personality of the church.
According to a rough timeline and flexible schedule, the initial step will be to fill five specific leadership positions by the end of summer 2004. Upon finding those leaders, they will host a meeting in fall 2004 for anybody interested in participating.
From that, the team building and training will begin and continue until summer 2005. The church body will then prepare for the launch by holding Sunday evening services.
September 2005 was chosen as a launch date for a strategic reason. Fall, as well as Easter, is a high season for churches, as possible attendees recover from a busy summer schedule or decide to become involved with a church. This will give the church up to nine months to settle in before the summer drop-off occurs.
