Vision
As the city of Lincoln continues to grow, the needs of the northern communities have greatly increased.
The ability to travel from north to south has become dramatically more difficult, leaving much of Lincoln unreachable.
In addition, the size of the communities far outweighs the capacity of churches. Few evangelical churches exist north of Adams Street and west of 70th Street.
To address this need, with careful prayer, we will send Andy MacFarlane, singles pastor, to lead a church plant in North Lincoln.
We are launching this plant during the "For this Purpose I Live" campaign, not to address overcrowding, but to fulfill the purpose of presenting every person complete in Christ, including unreached areas of the city.
Even with a larger auditorium, which will capacitate the existing and growing church, our arms only reach so far in a crowded city.
By basically taking Lincoln Berean and moving north, several hundred members who feel called to participate will adopt the same purpose and ministry structure of LBC. This will be done through corporate worship and small groups with the intention of making the church a lighthouse to encourage, equip and minister to North Lincoln and the surrounding communities.
