Expand the Vision

Adding needed space to grow our ministry at LBC is vital for reaching Lincoln and the surrounding communities.

However, our purpose statement includes "every person complete in Christ" not just some people in our community. Therefore, we need to expand our vision in the next few years to include the following strategic initiatives:

• Church Planting
• The India Project
• Christian Leadership College

Each of these initiatives would be challenging enough on its own. However, we believe we need to "Expand our Vision" and see all three of these ventures of faith accomplished in the next three years along with the building project. Remember, God will do exceedingly above all we ask or think for His glory. God wants us to take great steps of faith so people will know it was He who accomplished the purpose for His glory.

Church Planting
By God's grace we will hive off several hundred people from LBC to become part of a church plant in north Lincoln. This may be the first of several such church plants in our community. This vision is not driven by our overcrowding, or we wouldn't be launching this plant in the middle of a building project.

The church plant is driven by a belief that to effectively reach north Lincoln, we need a church in north Lincoln. Therefore, by faith, we plan to do this in the middle of the building campaign as part of "Expand the Vision."

The India Project
We plan to continue to stretch ourselves by faith to reach the world for Christ. One of the open doors we will be focusing on in the next few years is church planting in India. It appears God has given us the opportunity to be a part of planting hundreds of Berean churches in India. This is an exciting part of our purpose to seek to present every person complete in Christ.

Christian Leadership College
It is our desire to start a one-year college for those who desire training for vocational Christian service. This one-year program would include intense theological training, as well as practical ministry experience and personal development. Those trained would go out and become pastors, church planters and missionaries. This is our strategy to reach beyond our community into the state, region and even the world.
