From the beginning...
LBC has demonstrated a willingness to trust God by taking big steps of faith.
11th and M Streets
The Lincoln Berean Church began on June 3, 1962, with 32 people meeting in the original downtown YMCA building at 13th and P Streets. By November of 1964, the average attendance was 135. The church then moved to the newly remodeled building at 11th and M Streets.
17th and A Streets
In June of 1968, the average attendance was over 200, and the church moved to 17th and A Streets. In 1978, attendance was averaging over 450. Land was purchased at 70th and Hwy. 2 to construct a new facility.
70th Street and Hwy 2
In March of 1981, the first phase was completed, and the church moved into the new auditorium. The office/classroom phase was completed in December of 1986. The worship center was completed in September of 1991, with an average attendance of 1,020 people.
