God created us to be on "mission," to accomplish His purpose. The mission of the Church Unleashed is to equip and empower the body of LBC, to utilize their gifts to serve the people of Lincoln and the world. By illustrating God's love to others, they will be introduced to Jesus and His transforming power.

The Church Unleashed is not a program of the church, but a movement of the Spirit within the body of Christ here at LBC. We have partnered with organizations in our community that have a variety of needs, from mentoring urban youth, helping the poor, working with pregnant teenage mothers, orphans and more.

Most Recent Opportunities to Serve:


+ Salvation Army Emergency Disaster Service Training: April 10 9am-1pm. (help serve after disasters examples include after Hallam tornado and after Ceresco flooding) 

+ Salvation Army Picnic in the Park: Saturday, May 22 11am-2pm. Set up, tear down, help with games, help serve food.

+ Salvation Army Food Pantry: Daily 9am-noon, 1-4pm. Pack boxes of food. Help clients shop pantry.

+ Salvation Army Food Pantry: Monday 5-8pm. Help clients shop pantry.

+ Salvation Army Food Pantry: Thursday 1-3pm. Help unload delivery truck.

+ Salvation Army Food Pantry: Friday 11am-12:30pm. Help give out perishable food items.

+ Salvation Army: Volunteers are needed on Sunday evenings to help: cook a hot meal, pack sack lunches, and to go out with the Salvation Army to serve meals to the homeless and needy in our community. The timeframe is from 4 - 7:30pm, and you are welcome to volunteer on a rotating schedule, serving 1 or 2 times a month. 

+ One-2-One Mentors: Want to make a difference in a young person’s life? Become a mentor!

+ Give a Day, Get a Day: The Disney corporation is offering a free day pass to Disney for volunteers who volunteer at qualifying organizations. Go to www.volunteerpartners.org for more information. Some Lincoln, NE organizations are in participation with this program.
