This ministry provides biblically based guidance through one-to-one conversation for individuals who need healing, restoration or direction. It provides a safe place and person to talk through life's challenging issues, offering joy, peace and hope through Christ.

WHAT IS A SPIRITUAL CAREGIVER?
A Spiritual Caregiver provides biblically based guidance through one-to-one conversations with individuals who need healing, restoration or direction. They are not professional therapists, but rather someone who exemplifies Christlikeness in approach and care.
Qualifications to be a Spiritual Caregiver
A growing, personal relationship with God
A healthy personal lifestyle
A love for people and a desire to help them through difficult issues and situations
A willingness to be instructed and trained in one-to-one biblical caregiving by attending the Spiritual Care Training Course
Spiritual Care Training Course: Wednesdays, September 9 - April 21, 2010, 6:30 p.m., in D-103. Cost: $50 book and materials fee/person; $70/couple (sharing books) Upon complettion of this course, students will be better equipped to approach anxiety, grief, boundaries, depression, identity, addiction and discontentment issues and offer hope through Christ. Class expectations: For maximum benefit, regular attendance is required. Class format will include listening, observing and group interaction. *Not everyone who takes this training will be invited to serve as a Spiritual Caregiver.

Limited childcare is available for infants through Kindergarten at a cost of $15/child for the semester but children must be pre-registered. Early registration is recommended. WHAT IS THE PROCESS TO GET HELP THROUGH SPIRITUAL CARE?
Spiritual Care is available for individuals who attend Lincoln Berean Church.
1. Contact Lori Adams at 483-6512 or to set up a meeting with the Counseling Pastor.
2. Meet with the Counseling Pastor once for an initial appointment.The Counseling Pastor will determine if meeting with a Spiritual Caregiver would benefit you.
3. Connection with a Spiritual Caregiver will last approximately 10 weeks.
