We are mainly single 20 and 30something adults, from a variety of backgrounds, united by a common pursuit of God and a desire to grow towards completeness in Christ.We believe God is alive and at work in peoples' lives so they would become like His Son, Jesus Christ, in their values and character. Because of this truth, we find comfort knowing that no matter where we are or where we have been in life, God accepts us and meets us as we are.

In our ministry, we have two priorities which we think are critical for living out God's unconditional acceptance of people and encouraging Christ-directed life change. We value authentic community in which people are accepted as they are but encouraged to become more like Christ.

We invite you to walk through this season of your life with many other young families who are on the same journey. With a support system, valuable resources and strong friendships, we intend to help you grow your family, firmly rooted in Christ.

Families with elementary-age children are at a stage where they can enjoy somewhat of a nice interlude before the children gain the independence that often comes with the teenage years. This is a prime time in our children's lives to develop faith and character, strengthen their convictions and deepen the parent-child relationship.

Currently the largest season of life at LBC, Families of Adolescents equips parents for this very challenging point in their lives. Because you have entered the realm of family life with adolescents in the mix, you understand that life can be a complicated struggle at times. Hectic schedules, cultural influences and peer pressures, as well as rapid changes in thinking, attitudes and behaviors all combine to make us very aware that parenting teens is not a job that is done well in isolation.

The Singles Ministry is committed to the mission of helping adult singles love Jesus Christ through serving Him and others. We believe it is necessary to engage all singles in the process of becoming more complete in Christ. This involves hearing the good news about Jesus' love, experiencing ministry and Christian spiritual formation within the church body, and being used by God to reach others in the same way.

We believe the Singles Ministry must encourage singles as lifelong followers of Christ, and the particular abilities, needs and uniqueness of each Single individual is our priority. Our goal is to help each person identify where they are in their journey and find the best starting point for personal, non-threatening avenues into the church body. Authentic relationships in small group communities are essential for all Christ-followers. We want all singles to find the right fit into a small group experience within our LifeGroup ministry.

God created men and women with distinct gender differences and needs that must be understood and met within a biblical context. The Singles Ministry desires to connect singles with groups, programs, classes and events designed for the unique gender-related issues of men and women. We recognize the differences of all singles, but we also acknowledge our common need for God and each other. Our greatest desire for every Single individual is to see them grow in a personal relationship with Jesus by experiencing the security of His love and live with an eternal purpose for His glory.

Abundant Life... The term will always be inadequate, but it's the best we have to say "our lives are changing."
Our children are becoming adults, our responsibilities for our parents are increasing, all of our relationships are adjusting, and it's all very important...sometimes overwhelming.
Empty Nest folks have the opportunity to see some of their greatest influence and impact for eternity. They are always in the middle of generations, and the health of our relationships is paramount.
At LBC we're committed to equipping every person for God's glory, and in the Empty Nest years, the emphasis is on intentionally building relationships that will last through the unknowns.
