Think of how Jesus’s coming to earth blessed the world. He came in a way different than expected. Instead of spending so much time in stores and online shopping, take some time to serve and bless those around you.

When God’s people serve in humble, generous ways, the story of Jesus is told again and again.

Through our actions and our words, people will be reminded that they are loved by the Creator of the universe and He has not forgotten them.

Brainstorm what you could do to love others – as a family or with friends. Get creative and give more of your presence as a present: your hands, your words, your heart, and your valuable time.

This is just a list to spark some ideas; you’re wired uniquely to make a difference!

Serve a Neighbor:

  • Clear snow from a neighbor’s driveway or sidewalk.
  • Know someone who is having a tough year? Consider supplying the groceries they might need to make these upcoming holiday meals special.
  • Pass out “Winter Survival Kits” with tissues, lip balm and cough drops to neighbors or those downtown.
