life groups, renewed

The Christian life is not meant to be lived alone – we are better together!

We were made to live in community.

Our recent season of national isolation made it crystal clear – God designed us for relationships! We’re excited to live out our Renewed vision – Coming together: to know Jesus, become more like Him, and help others do the same – in Life Groups.

Life Groups offer a weekly ‘living room’ conversation to help you figure out what to do on Monday with what you heard on Sunday (or Saturday).

FAQ’s

Life Groups are small gatherings of people (10-14), that meet weekly with the purpose of living out our Renewed vision statement: Coming together: to know Jesus, become more like Him, and help others do the same.

Life Groups:

  • Are sermon based, so group discussion is based on the questions posted from the most recent sermon
  • Consist of a Fall session (10 weeks), Winter session (10 weeks) and a Spring session (7 weeks)
  • Are open to new members (at the beginning of the session)
  • Meet consistently during the session
  • Allow members to exit gracefully (in order to seek a better fit)
  • Are intentional in utilizing the break periods to rest

Our Spring 2021 session will last seven weeks, starting the week of April 11. Groups meet weekly for an hour and a half.

Contact us through the “Interested in the next round of groups?” form above, and we’ll be in touch.

Some Life Groups will meet online, others in-person – a few are even hybrids! Look at the location and the description to find what you’re looking for.

Great question! Life Groups that meet online are a great option for families during this season.

Simply scroll through the list of groups above and sign up with your name, phone, and email and you’ll get a confirmation email that you’re signed up and an email from the group leader before your first meeting.

Yes, both individuals should sign up for the same group separately.

Zoom is a great online meeting tool designed to let you talk with a group of people via video. Here are a few tips for getting started.

Before your group meets:

  1. You will need a computer, tablet, or smartphone with speakers or headphones. You’ll be able to check your audio immediately upon joining a call.
  2. You will receive an email from your group’s host. The email will include a link to join the group’s meetings.

To join the group’s meetings:

  1. Five to ten minutes before the meeting starts, click on the link in your invitation. The first time you connect, you may be instructed to download the Zoom application.
  2. Test your audio by clicking on Test Computer Audio. When you are satisfied that your audio works, click on Join audio by computer

Handy participant controls:

  • Mute/Unmute your microphone (far left)
  • Turn on/off camera (“Start/Stop Video”)
  • Toggle between speaker and gallery view. Speaker view shows the active speaker while Gallery view tiles all of the meeting participants.
