FAQ’s

Serve Day is an exciting opportunity for us, the local church, to go into our communities and love our neighbors.

You can join one of the projects listed above in the “Serving Opportunities” section of this page.

Service projects may be registered by Serve Day point leaders only.

Get creative! Assess the needs of people in your neighborhood and in our local communities and plan a project that meets those needs. Contact us via the form below with any questions.

Each group is responsible for the costs associated with their Serve Day project. We recommend spending time choosing your project based on your group’s size and commitment level.

Bring any personal items you may need during your project (sunscreen, drinking water, sneakers, a hat, etc.). Your project leader can confirm any project-specific items you may need to bring (like gloves, rakes, lawnmowers, tarps, work tools, etc.). Work clothes are a good idea for projects requiring physical labor, and we recommend not wearing jewelry.

Life Group leaders will receive information emails from the Life Groups team. Check with your Life Group leader first. If you aren’t in a Life Group and signed up for a project, that Life Group leader will be communicating details with you. You can also find more details on our website.

Your Project Leader should have any information you need about Serve Day, but if you have questions they are unable to answer, contact Megan.

We understand that weather in Nebraska can be difficult to plan around, but we will have the Serve Day rain or shine, as your project allows. Please plan accordingly for the weather. If there is severe weather, we will work with the various organizations to reschedule.

If your project takes longer than expected and you are unable to finish, please communicate that to the organization’s point of contact and to Megan. We will work together with them to get another group out to finish the project. If you are able to stay a little longer or come back at another time to finish, that’d be great!

Absolutely, we would love for kids to serve with their parents/guardians! If you are having your kids join you, make sure to include that when you sign up so we can get a t-shirt for them.
