With a little sleep and a lot of jet lag we hit the ground running!
Travel went really smoothly so thanks for your prayers! Today we spent time with Aruna Project’s intake center “Savera”. The team knocked it out of the park today. Megan got things started with a devotional for both our team and the Savera staff. After this we spent time worshiping together and jumped right into our first “life skill” session. The life skill sessions are used to help girls who are hoping to get out of the brothels as they develop necessary skills to thrive independently. Whitney bravely led the first session and talked about self image. Both the devotional time and the life skill session went really well as we had a lot of participation from the natives. We were encouraged by this and are excited for the days to come! We ended our time by going into the brothels and spending time with the girls. At the end of this time, one girl actually came back to Savera to tour the facility! This was a huge praise!
Please continue to pray for us as we process mass amounts of new and sometimes heartbreaking moments. Prior to heading to India, we asked for you to pray that we would see areas God has actively been working and this prayer has definitely been answered. We have seen His presence in many areas already which is of great comfort while we walk in the unknown.
