The Lincoln Berean ministry residency exists to equip and launch future kingdom leaders.

This 22-month program is for young adults with a kingdom mindset, who have recently completed their undergraduate studies. By the end of this program, Ministry Residents will be prepared and equipped to make a Kingdom impact through their lives, leadership, and influence in whatever profession the Lord has called them to.

  • Earn a master’s degree from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary
  • Participate in leadership training and spiritual formation modules
  • Meet weekly with a personal mentor
  • Serve and lead in various ministry areas of Lincoln Berean
  • Get paid as a part-time employee at Lincoln Berean
  • Receive a 75% tuition scholarship for seminary education

FAQs

The Ministry Residency is a paid opportunity with tuition assistance. Ministry Residents are considered part-time employees of Lincoln Berean Church and part-time students enrolled in Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Ministry Residents will be compensated for their time spent working as part-time employees. Compensation is discussed during the application process.

Ministry Residents will not be compensated for time spent working to complete their master’s degree. However, through the Lincoln Berean Seminary Scholarship program, they will be eligible to apply for a 75% tuition scholarship applicable to each class in which they enroll at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.

As part of their theological development, Ministry Residents will be enrolled in Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. To earn a graduate degree, Ministry Residents will need to have completed their undergraduate (Bachelor’s) degree by the time of the program start date.

Absolutely not!  This program is designed to equip and launch future Kingdom leaders in whatever vocational context God calls them to—whether that’s church or parachurch ministry, missions, or the marketplace.

Through the theological, ministry skills, and personal development residents refine their strengths and hone their passion areas while gaining hands-on ministry experience. The goal is to prepare residents to make a meaningful Kingdom impact throughout their lives, leadership, and influence, no matter their profession.

After graduating from the program, Ministry Residents are welcome to apply to any open roles at Lincoln Berean and will go through the application process like any other candidate, employment is not guaranteed.
